Today we are going to start the process of designing (and then programming) our own video game.

First off, please make sure you have your Game Mechanic account all set up (directions are in the post below).

Secondly, please complete all the tutorial "missions" so that you can earn all the pieces to make your game.  There is very little programming in this section, but it does have a purpose as we move forward.

We will be discussing "What Makes a Good Video Game?" tomorrow, so you might want to look at this these three articles: What Makes the Perfect Video Game? ,The Difference Between Good and Bad Video Games and the Key Elements of Good Video Games.

It is also possible to take your love of video games and turn it into a career.  Take a look at the Bachelor of Game Design at Sheridan College (only one of many possible paths to this exciting job).
