What an interesting day. Today, Garfield Gini-Newman set the tone for the next two days by discussing critical thinking, and the role of technology in facilitating student-centered learning models. Most of what was presented is something that, as a history teacher, I already do in my classroom. It was, however, a good opportunity to think-care-share with my peers. There are some excellent practices taking place in other schools in Ontario, and I am looking forward to implementing some of these ideas in my room.
Tomorrow should be more technologically focused, and I look forward to that presentation (and hopefully better coffee!).
