![]() It was very nice to meet all of you today. I am sure you found the whole day a little overwhelming, but I assure you that you will become very comfortable with the way my classroom works over the next few days. As I mentioned in class today, all the materials for the course will be posted on this website on a daily basis. You should get into the habit of double-checking here everyday (make it a favourite in your browser), especially if you miss class or need some extra help with the concepts that we covered in class. I am always just an email away, and if you leave a message at the bottom of the blog entry, it also gives your classmates an opportunity to help you with your questions as well (as, opposed to popular belief I do not live on line 24-7). We will be spending the period getting organized and setting up our blogs. I will be giving you user names and passwords for kidblog.org We will also be discussing how you should keep your information organized in a digital classroom. It would be a FANTASTIC idea to put a USB flash drive in your pencil case. I recommend one that is at least 4GB. The course outline that we looked at can be downloaded here. The questions that are meant to frame your introduction are posted here as well. You should be aiming for at least a 300 word entry into your blog. Make sure you double check the expectations outlined on the rubric before you submit your work.
