Today, the class is going to start our first unit, as we explore Canada's involvement in World War I. Over the next three weeks we will be doing some researching, some role-playing, some trench-digging, some movie reviewing, and hopefully, a lot of self-guided learning.
In order to understand how Canada became involved with the war, we need to look at all the factors that led up to this conflict in the first place. While there are many issues that eventually saw European relations degrade into war, we are going to focus on the 4 Main ones. Since there is a considerable amount of new vocabulary, students might want to review their new words by completing this wordsearch for homework.
