WWI: THE NEXT FEW DAYS

We have a lot to accomplish over the next few days of class.  With the defining moment presentations taking place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there will be interuptions to the general "flow" of things, so you will need to be even more focused than usual.  I am really looking forward to these presentations, and I know all of you are going to do your best!

In preparation for your presentations on the important battles that Canada fought in during WWI, we will be finishing up the overview of the war (and looking at the technology that changed warfare forever), discussing Sam Hughes and the Ross Rifle, having a interesting look (and a laugh or three) at the slang that was used during the war, and trying not to get itchy when we look at the typical equipment a Canadian soldier would carry, and the lice that infested his body, uniform and materials.

For those that are struggling with a handout for their Battle Presentation, I have included a sample level 3 handout template (I am sure you can improve on it..but it does show the basic use of subtitles)
