Unfortunately, I am away from class today (I have a meeting at the Board Office). I will be back "bright and early" tomorrow morning, and I expect to hear nothing but glowing reports about the class and how hard they worked today.
Over the next two days we will be working hard to establish a foundation of knowledge around the events, people, and politics of the immediate post-war years in Canada. We will be working with several sources, and you will need each of the following handouts downloaded to your digital binder (make sure you make a new folder for the new unit): Political and Social Conditions Questions, 1920s Scrapbook Questions, Canadian Politics Between the Wars, Hep Facts about the 20s, Prohibition and The Spanish Flu of 1918.
Tomorrow we are also going to spend some time looking at the PERSIAT(+G) method of catergorizing information, as we start to pick up steam in our pursuit of the excellent research and organizational skills we will need to write our big research essay.
