Today is a big day in class, as we will be starting our presentations. I am looking forward to learning from all of you, as you have become experts in your particular topic from World War II. I will be looking for volunteers to submit their notes for evaluation and to provide feedback to the presenter(s) (you will need to each of these two times during the next two weeks)
As we move forward during the week, we will be using any extra time left in class to watch Enemy at the Gates. The assignment that goes along with the movie is posted here. The due date is 3 days after we finish the film.
Don't forget to hand in Stage One of your research essay today.
Today we will be working together to start our journey to understanding World War II. This will be essentially a Socratic (teacher-centered) lesson, but you will be asked to not only pay attention but also to contribute your thoughts and prior knowledge. Board notes can be found here.
We will also be watching the National Geographic video on the Rise of Hitler (you can use this handout to guide your learning).
HUGE REMINDER: You should be working on both your seminar and stage one of your essay for homework. Due dates are approaching a lot quicker than you think.
