We will practice every Tuesday and Thursday night that is not a game day. We will practice Monday and Wednesday at lunch. Fridays are team lunch and run days, and location and timing will be set by the team captains. You are expected to make every practice, game and team run. ALL GAMES WILL START @ 4:00pm with SENIORS SCHEDULED FIRST.

Effective immediately, I am resigning as the coach of both the Junior and Senior basketball teams. Having coached for most of my high school career, this is not a decision that I made lightly or without considerable thought and reflection.
We have fantastic teams this year, that I suspect will go far in the playoffs. Mr. Roehrig has agreed to take over all head coaching responsibilities, and will be guiding you to victory. We were up 18-7 at the half, and tied 22-22 at the end of the third quarter (do we see a problem here?). But some gritty defense in the 4th saw us squeek out a 26-24 nail biter versus Georgian Bay.
We will need to play a bit more consistently if we are going to go far in the playoffs this year. 26-12 is not the score on how well we played the game today. While the St. Mary's Mustangs may have won the game, it is evident that if we keep driving to the net (like we did in the 4th quarter), and work on some of our fo
I don't want to post too much about out loss today to Peninsula Shores. This was not our best game (by far), and I think nerves combined with a lack of focus cost us what should have been a hard fought victory instead of disappointing loss.

The TeamGrey Highlands has a strong tradition of highly competitive basketball teams. Over the past few years, Coach Roehrig and Coach Perry have taken teams to CWOSSA, and look forward to fielding another strong team this year. |
