Today, we will discuss how to set up and shoot against a Chroma Key background. It can be tricky (watch for shadows!), and all the work you put in before you shoot will save you time in post-production (and give you a way more realistic effect!) We don't have time to waste, so we are going to jump 3 steps ahead today and start the planning process for our green screen project (listed in the other post). Yesterday, you formed a TV production company. Please work with those partners for the duration of this assignment. A made a small video that shows you one of the handy tools that can be used to gather footage from Youtube that we can use to practice our green screen/chroma key skills. You will need footage for all segments of the project. You should brainstorm your initial format/stories, and then go searching :) Time to dust off your Adobe Premiere skills as we will be adding Chroma-key editing to your skill bank (and use the footage you have saved). As you move forward with your newscast assignment, these are some awesome tips on how to use the green screen technique effectively... |
