YUMMY CONTINUES..

I think everyone agrees that the flavours produced by the AWE4MI class have been quite delicious.  The proposed marketing materials have, for the most part, also been quite good (and hopefully served their purpose to act as review for the dusty skill set from last semester).

We will finish the last three presentations today, and declare a winner.

AWE3MI Today, we are going to start working on some of the more powerful features of  Photoshop.

By the end of the period you should be able to:
1) understand what layers are, and how to use them
2) how to cut an object out
of one photo and paste it in another
3) how to add small details (like
shadows) to increase realism

For this period you will need these two  files (PitBull, Hotel).

You will also need to pick out a  place that you would like to visit, but have never been (this will need to be at
least a 4mp photo..make sure you use Google Advanced Image Search). You will  also need to work with a partner to take a photo of yourself. You will be making  a virtual postcard.

AWE3MI students will also be working on the Rick Mercer assignment, while AWE4MI students are expected to start on their points.  I also need section leads to start working on their mock-ups (ie. folio art, grad photo ideas, mug shots, etc).  Since there is a good chance that we will not be having a whole lot of extracurricular events this year, we also need to brainstorm other topics that can encapsulate the "GHSS Experience" for 2012-2013.
