Welcome back to the comfy confines of Grey Highlands.  I hope you enjoyed your summer and found fun and relaxation.   My hope is that you will feel 100% comfortable in the classroom, and take the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in one of the most challenging and rewarding courses at GHSS.  My job is to keep you motivated and teach you the skills you need to be successful designer (oh yeah, we can't forget about that big responsibility due the first week in May either!l).  Your job is to take risks, focus yourself, and produce the best work you are capable of completing.   I cannot wait to work with each and every one of you!

This is a dynamic split-level classroom with a tremendous amount of work to accomplish in a very short amount of time. This means that the Grade 11 students (AWE3MI), will be challenged to learn the skills and concepts necessary to be effective in a digital design classroom. To our benefit, the Grade 12s are a wonderful resource for peer review, leadership and those students who need extra help with some of the more challenging concepts we will be covering.

Today will be spent covering the classroom rules, course expectations (AWE3MI, AWE4MI), and signing up for the many accounts that we need to work in a WEB 2.0 environment.  We will also be discussing the paperless classroom initiative, and how that will impact the day to day operations during the course. We will be keeping ourselves organized using REMIND, and you will need to download this invitation.

Please make sure you take the time to thoroughly fill out the student database form, particularly paying attention to what your expectations are for the course.   This is also your opportunity to indicate to me what leadership opportunities you are interested in this semester.
