Last class, we learned the basics of photo correction (the everyday "stuff"). Make sure you show me your sheep-free field before the end of today's period.
Today, we are going to start working on some of the more powerful features of Photoshop.
By the end of the period you should be able to:
1) understand what layers are, and how to use them
2) how to cut an object out of one photo and paste it in another
3) how to add small details (like shadows) to increase realism
For this period you will need these two files (PitBull, Hotel).
You will also need to pick out a place that you would like to visit, but have never been (this will need to be at least a 4mp photo..make sure you use Google Advanced Image Search). You will also need to work with a partner to take a photo of yourself. You will be making a virtual postcard.
This is all leading to Thursday's class when you will be working on the Rick Mercer Photo Challenge assignment.
This is the second last day for you to work on your Chapman's assignment presentation. I am very excited but what I have seen so far :)
