Welcome back! I hope you had an amazing mid-winter break, and you are recharged and re-energized for the tremendous responsibility ahead of us. I am sure that this year's book will be the best yet!
This is a dynamic split-level classroom with a tremendous amount of work to accomplish in a very short amount of time. This means that the Grade 11 students (AWE3MI), will be challenged to learn the skills and concepts necessary to be effective in a digital design classroom. To our benefit, the Grade 12s (AWE4MI) are a wonderful resource for peer review, leadership and those students who need extra help with some of the more challenging concepts we will be covering. Today will be spent covering the classroom rules, course expectations (AWE3MI, AWE4MI), and signing up for the many accounts that we need to work in a WEB 2.0 environment. We will also be discussing the paperless classroom initiative, and how that will impact the day to day operations during the course. Please make sure you take the time to thoroughly fill out the student database form, particularly paying attention to what your expectations are for the course. This is also your opportunity to indicate to me what leadership opportunities you are interested in this semester.
