Today, we are going to start working on one of the most relevant Photoshop features that will be used in the production of the yearbook (and your magazine cover, for that matter).
By the end of the period you should be able to:
1) understand what layers are, and how to use them
2) how to cut an object out of one photo and paste it in another
3) how to add small details (like shadows) to increase realism
For this period you will need these two files (PitBull, Hotel).
You will also need to pick out a place that you would like to visit, but have never been (this will need to be at least a 4mp photo..make sure you use Google Advanced Image Search). You will also need to work with a partner to take a photo of yourself. You will be making a virtual postcard.
This is all leading to you 1) finishing your magazine cover and 2) by Friday, you will be working on the VERY LAST Rick Mercer Photo Challenge assignment this class will ever participate in (a sad day indeed).
