We Received a Nice Email Today

This was in my "inbox" tonight, and I'd like to share it with all of you.  It was sent by Ms. Rent, a teacher who works in St. Monica House in Waterloo.

Please share with your Design students that my students, from St. Monica  House and I are very thankful for adding their part to our 'We' experience. It   was so wonderful to have professionally designed and 'real' shirts printed. I  was very touched that yours wanted to help out, which is the essence of this  event and building community. It was important to keep things simple on the shirts as my girls are often judged due to their situation. Many of my students  not only don't have opportunities but also don't often have nice things and to  be included in regular activities due to their pregnancy, baby and everything else they are dealing with. Thanks for the referral to ZipGraphix, too. It was worth the drive to Scarborough.

From my community to yours - thank you! I think we may be building another community!
Please share this with your youth!

Tuesday is Get to Work Day

We all need to work on your  yearbook pages, and if that is not possible because of content you are waiting for, you should be working on your interview assignment.  The Lookbooks in the cupboard are a great place to get ideas (so does googling "cool magazine layouts" etc).

AWE3MI students you need to also organize yourself to work on your product label assignment.  The rubric can be found here.
