Today you are going to create your 4"x6" ID Card (which is used when you are in the hallways and school events during official yearbook business).  Please make sure you write down all the requirements.  This should not take more than this period to complete.

Congratulations to Dan Taylor for making the Rick Mercer Photo Challenge website.  Automatic Level 4 on the project!

Those in the photography stream should be VERY excited.  Our Camranger came today...and I cannot wait to see what unique and creative applications  you can find for it!  Those students who are interested in working with the device will need to spend 10-15 minutes with me over a lunch hour to become "certified" :)

Welcome to October...the last month just "flew by".  We need to keep working on our skills in preparation of creating the most awesome yearbook GHSS has ever seen.

I had some yearbooks from other schools in the GTA dropped off on Friday, and I'd like to share them with you.  We should be able to find a few ideas that we can incorporate into our book (and a few "I can't believe they did that" items that we want to avoid).

AWE3MI:
Patience is the key.  We are starting Adobe InDesign today.  You need to pay attention to EVERYTHING that happens in class..as the learning curve is quite steep (and at times, difficult).

I am away at the Hand Clinic in London tomorrow, so we are also going to set you up for the assignment you need to complete while I am away.  You are also reminded that you have a terminology test on Wednesday (and you need  a  minimum of 80% to pass).

As a culmination of our introduction unit on Photoshop and photo editing, you are to read the attached handout on "Photographic Truth in the Digital Era", and  complete the 1 page personal response that is indicated at the bottom of the  package.  This will be evaluated.  It is due next Wednesday (no
excuses)

You do not have to answer all the guided questions, they are only to help focus your thinking in preparation of your answering the  personal response question.  You should complete the activities for both
websites and reflect on your thoughts (this will make a valuable contribution to your response).
