As we start to approach the discussion on journalism and writing effective content for the yearbook, we should keep in mind that the nature of reporting is changing. The advertisement for the Guardian’s open journalism, screened for the first time on 29 February 2012, imagines how the coverage of the story of the three little pigs in print and online would evolve. The video follows the story from the paper’s front page headline, through a social media discussion and finally to an unexpected conclusion. As you watch the clip, brainstorm how this shift is going to effect how we develop our yearbook content.
